Eliminate mold stains from clothes with this trick!

A few weeks ago when I took my favourite sweater out of the closet I noticed that it had several spots, at first I thought it was normal because of the dirt in the closet until I realized that it was actually MOLD.

Mold can be caused by moisture inside the closet or on the walls and usually affects organic or cotton garments.

Moldy clothes can cause skin rashes, allergies and give off bad odors, so if this has happened to you, let me share with you a remedy to remove mould stains from clothes.

FOR COLORED CLOTHING

You will need to:

  • White vinegar
  • Water
  • Bucket

Process:

  1. Pour one cup of vinegar for every liter of water into a bucket.
  2. Stir well and submerge moldy clothing.
  3. Let it rest for 2 hours and as time passes, put each garment in your washing machine and activate the washing system as you normally do.

If the stains are still on your garment, repeat the process.

FOR WHITE CLOTHING

You will need to:

  • Chlorine
  • Water
  • Bucket

Process:

The process is the same as the previous one, the only thing that changes is that we will use chlorine instead of vinegar.

FOR COTTON CLOTHING

You will need to:

  • White vinegar
  • Sodium bicarbonate

Process:

  1. In a bowl, mix a little vinegar with bicarbonate to form a paste.
  2. Apply this paste on top of the stain and let it absorb for a couple of hours.
  3. As time passes, wash your cotton garments in your washing machine and that’s it.

It will only be necessary to hang your clothes to dry and they will be as new.

With these tips, I am sure you will save your clothes and eliminate the humidity from your closet.
